Who support our goals
Universal basic income has been bandied about on Capitol Hill since the early 1970s. Since then we have seen automation eliminate the need for more than 2 out of 3 jobs in manufacturing and agriculture, and now AI is coming for many jobs in "services". It is the time to get UBI done! Some politicians have come out in support of more "studies" of UBI, but we don't need more studies. UBI has been amply tried and shown to work (see topic on UBI trials and the videos).
Our other two goals: taxing the wealthy and limiting money in politics, have more broad support among politicians probably because these goals are very popular among voters across the political spectrum. But lip service is not enough, bills have to be introduced and votes tracked.
This website's ambition is to sign up politicians and candidates who support our goals, and track their actual voting and fund raising. To that end we will be sending questionnaires to politicians and gathering responses. Once we have sufficient feed back we will publish the data here.
To get things started PLEASE ASK YOUR REPRESENTATIVE/SENATORS/etc. TO FILL IN THE FORM LINKED BELOW. Note that we support politicians who support any or all of our goals: (1)tax the rich, (2) limit money in politics, (3) Share - universal basic income.
